Domenica sono stata invitata ad assistere ad una lezione dul Disturbo Bipolare nella mia vecchia scuola di specializazione. Ringrazio Antonio per questo invito. E’ stata una esperienza interessante sotto diversi punti di vista.
Per prima cosa ho apprezzato molto l’approfondimento del disturbo bipolare in età evolutiva. Condivido l’idea che in Italia questa diagnosi sia ancora molto trascurata, forse per timore, forse perchè se ne sa ancora troppo poco. E’ importante quindi insistere sulla ricerca perchè una diagnosi sbagliata e, di conseguenza un trattamento sbagliato, può portare a conseguenze negative, talvolta gravi per i piccoli pazienti.
In secondo luogo ho potuto rivivere e ricordare esperienze passate: un periodo formativo lungo, intenso e molto coinvolgente come quello degli anni di specializzazione. La fatica di passare i week end a scuola non era nulla in confronto a tutto quello che ho imparato e alle persone brave e preparate che ho conosciuto. Persone che sono state molto importanti per la mia crescita non solo professionale. Qualcuno è rimasto, di altri non ho più notizie ma la mia mente è corsa a tutti loro indistintamente e virtualmente li abbraccio tutti.
